On Tuesday November 11th, 2014 I was in Los Angeles. Like any other lover of guitars I could not miss the opportunity to visit the Guitar Center on Sunset Boulevard in Hollywood. The staff at the Guitar Center were so friendly and let me take photos to show my friends back in Australia.
The Entrance
As you enter the Guitar Center in Hollywood you will walk on the hand prints of some famous musicians. Can you see the hand prints of anyone you admire?
A nice tribute to Jimi Hendrix.
The fans of Eddie Van Halen must love this display.
Can you see the tribute to B.B King and his guitar Lucille? Can you see Bo Diddley’s square box guitar?
The Gibson Collection
I don’t have a Gibson guitar but looking at these guitars…it was tempting to add to my collection.
The Fender Collection
I spent a lot of time looking at the Fender collection. There are many more Fenders at the Guitar Center.
The PRS Collection
The modern sound of Carlos Santana. I love PRS guitars!
The Rickenbacker Collection
The sound of The Beatles and The Byrds can be attributed to the Rickenbacker guitar. Notice the PRS guitars too?
The Mixed Collection
A beautiful collection that includes Fender Stratocasters, Telecasters and Gibson Les Paul’s, SG’s and 335.
The Banjo Collection
I love writing country songs and hearing Keith Urban play a 6 string banjo inspired me to play one too.
The Bass Guitar Collection
Here’s a photo for my friends who play Bass guitar.
Window displays inside the Guitar Center
Can you see Blues legend John Lee Hooker’s clothes?
Stevie Ray Vaughan was a brilliant guitarist. I took this photo for some of my friends who are massive fans of SRV.
As I was on a tight schedule, I didn’t spend a long time at the Guitar Center. However, I took many more photos at the Guitar Center. If you’d like to see more photos just contact me. Even better, if you get a chance, check out the Guitar Center for yourself. The staff there were so friendly and helpful. I’m looking forward to going back again.
